Please be advised that there has been a change in the application process for the National Maritime Heritage Grant (NMHG) program for 2022. All grant applications are being submitted by State Historic Preservation Offices (SHPOs).  If you have a preservation or education project that the falls within the NMHG guidelines, please contact the SHPO officer in your state directly (see SHPO directory link below).  Time is short.  SHPO applications for the NMHG are due in late September.  This is a great time to build or reaffirm a relationship with your respective SHPO officers.
