Maritime Documentation Positions Available with the National Park Service

The National Park Service is seeking applications from qualified students and recent graduates for several projects to document historic ships and small craft with measured drawings and historical research papers for inclusion in the HABS/HAER Collections at the Library of Congress.  Projects will be based in San Francisco, CA and Washington, DC.  The projects will take place over the summer.  Two positions may be available for a year.

We are looking for skills in vessel documentation including the use of hand/digital measuring techniques and computer aided drafting, especially preparing lines drawings and historical/descriptive research papers dealing with ships and/or small craft.
