The South Street Seaport Museum is offering two collections management and archives remote internships for the spring of 2021 (February-May).
This internship allows the intern to become part of a small, dynamic team, participating in the daily work of the Collections Department, including collection stewardship, inventory, digitization, research, and administrative tasks. Projects relate to several areas including but not limited to drawings, prints and photographs; ocean liner ephemera and memorabilia; rare books; historical documents; architecture and printing history. This internship position is primarily for college credits. It is unpaid, but a stipend of $25/day is provided on a bi-weekly basis. Application Deadline: Friday, January 15, 2021.
